SDN and NFV are set to change the networking industry and, as part of that change, virtual Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) is an upcoming technology paradigm that promises to be beneficial for both customers and service providers.
The difficulties faced when implementing network services continue to present a challenge to organisations, both from an organisational perspective, as well as from a technical perspective. This document provides direction on how organisations can deal with the challenge of introducing service chaining and deploying critical network services by using the emerging technologies of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV).
Technologies such as Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) are sparking numerous innovations in the networking landscape. One of them being Telco-over-Cloud, which can be directly applied to the Mobile Telco architecture to remove its current limitations, making it more cost-effective, flexible, powerful and easily scalable for the future.
Implementation of marketing campaign management and stock exchange specific business partner structures; significant involvement in coordinating development and in realizing functional extensions and system integration have been realised by Reply.
Organisations can now leverage the emerging technologies of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV) for implementing security, as opposed to using traditional methods, and outlines some of the benefits that can be realised.
Adoption of Technologies such as Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV), Software-Defined Storage (SDS) and Cloud Automation will help evolve the Data Centre into a Cloud based, dynamic, future-proof and self-sustained environment that can scale up and down to address all present and future needs.
Fixed broadband network deployments are moving inexorably to the use of Next Generation Access (NGA) technologies and architectures. These NGA deployments involve building fiber infrastructure increasingly closer to the customer in order to increase the proportion of fiber on the customer’s access connection (Fibre-To-The-Home/Building/Door/Cabinet, ... i.e. FTTx).
Glue Reply provided
Debenhams with a future state architecture and technology infrastructure which has enabled them to incrementally grow the SOA technology capability using the Oracle Fusion platform. Glue Reply augmented the “out of the box” Fusion technology with its exception and audit management framework built upon both Oracle Service Bus and Oracle database.
Glue Reply is committed to the development and professionalisation of the IT industry. To that end, Glue Reply is a corporate member of the
British Computer Society (BCS), the recognised Chartered Body for IT Professionals and a Gold Member of the
Open Group responsible for the continual development of the industry standard architecture framework, TOGAF.
It’s clear that the world of technology is becoming critical to nearly all organisations, whilst it is
changing at a pace never seen before. Should the CIO invest in sophisticated infrastructure when
consumers are now carrying it around in their pockets, employees would prefer to use their own
device and there is connectivity all around us?

Glue Reply was engaged by
AXA UK to support the definition of a SOA approach and roadmap. AXA UK wished to move to a SOA model in an incremental, iterative manner and therefore required from Glue Reply an incremental phased approach as they progressed towards SOA. Glue Reply were engaged in the early stage of the project to provide an assessment of SOA maturity and a roadmap for achieving the required maturity.
