Bristol, UK 21 May 2019: Zeetta Networks has been officially named a ‘Cool Vendor’ by Gartner in their latest report, ‘Cool Vendors in Communications Service Provider Network Operations’ ID: G00387077, published on 14 May 2019.

Cool Vendor in Communications Service Provider Network Operations 2019

Gartner’s report recognises: “that for Communications service providers’ digital transformation requires network virtualisation, programmability, scale and automation. CSPs must select suppliers that offer such solutions and use open-source/vendor-agnostic components in order to improve network agility, performance and efficiencies.”

One of the key findings about the four vendors in this report is that “these vendors provide network- and vendor-agnostic solutions that CSPs can use to gain network-related insights, modernise their operations and automate to enhance operations efficiency.

Gartner also recommends that CSPs “verify that the solution is truly network- and vendor-agnostic by conducting proofs of concept.”

What we think are Zeetta Networks’ ‘cool’ credentials

Zeetta Networks has leveraged its open-source NetOS to monitor, manage and automate networks to simplify network operations. In turn this enables new business models and revenue opportunities for CSPs.

Zeetta Networks provides ‘intent-based networking’ which uses the customer’s intentions to drive network design which is delivered through creating virtualised, programmable sub-networks or slices. This means complex multi-vendor, multi-technology enterprise, campus and service provider networks can deliver highly customised connectivity which in turn enables new business models.

Vassilis Seferidis, CEO of Zeetta Networks, said:

“We consider it a great honour to be named a Cool Vendor by Gartner in their May 2019 Cool Vendor report. We feel that to successfully transform a business digitally requires solutions to manage these complex, heterogeneous enterprise, campus and service provider networks if they are to realise the benefits.”

“Modern networks are in desperate need of improved efficiency and simplification. Our network orchestration tools make this happen” he added.

What are Cool Vendors?

Gartner’s Cool Vendor reports highlight interesting, new and innovative vendors, products and services.

The report states, “Cool Vendors for communications service provider (CSP) operational technology (OT) create new value by developing faster and more cost-effective solutions, embedding open-source components or providing improved interoperability with vendor-agnostic solutions.” It goes on to say, “These vendors are cool because they enable CSPs to launch the future of network infrastructure and operations along the spectrum of digital transformation.”
