Service technicians often faced time-consuming challenges – navigating extensive manuals, consulting specialists, or waiting for expert support – which led to delays, increased stress, and costly downtime. Bosch Rexroth recognized the need to streamline this process by equipping technicians with instant, reliable access to the right knowledge, regardless of time or location.
The solution
An intelligent AI assistant embedded in the central service portal
Time-consuming searches and lengthy support calls are now history. Developed by Bosch Rexroth with the support of Storm Reply, the new AI assistant lets technicians simply enter symptoms or error codes into a chat interface and instantly receive accurate, tailored guidance.
Integrated within the Hydraulic Hub – Bosch Rexroth’s central service platform for industrial hydraulics – the assistant is accessible on mobile devices, providing real-time, on-site support. When expert help is needed, the system effortlessly escalates the issue to the right specialists, ensuring fast and efficient resolution.
How we did it
Advanced AI powered in the cloud
The smart assistant uses state-of-the-art AI technology that cleverly links various data sources, accurately identifies which information is really needed and, based on this, provides understandable and helpful answers – far more than just a simple keyword search.
All important content, from manuals and technical instructions to training materials, is managed centrally and securely in the AWS cloud. Automated processes ensure that the solution remains flexible, grows continuously, and always provides technicians with the latest knowledge.
