The core of the project studied for an important company operating in the medical sector was the awareness of this point: the processes of standardizing, automating, centralizing, and information sharing enhance the global company efficiency.
Reply implemented an informative integrated system, Oracle technology based, able to increase efficiency at every level. The introduction of a Back Office platform means to think about organization from an integrated point of view.
In order to support properly the customer in implementing the new informative system, the Business Reply design has consisted of different phases and affected specific staff departments in turn.
The first phase concerned Administration. It drove to ready-results: significant benefits mainly concerning the restoration of efficiency were gained through the rationalization of accounting procedures.
This first success conveyed to the start-up of the second phase, where the goal was the system integration and expansion in order to control the goods sale and the warehouse management.
In the third and last phase of the design, Reply implemented the other modules of Oracle Business Suite.
The modules put in production are those dealing with:
- The installed base
- Service Contracts
- Field Service
- Spare Management
Thanks to such an interface, the main warehouse activity is not left to the operator’s hand any more, instead it is automatically managed through the reading of TAGs linked to every single product.
To the end of this stage, Reply realized the integration between the warehouse managed by Oracle Inventory and a warehouse code tracing system, by means of readers and RFID.
By means of each single module of the solution Reply realized, today the company can control the processes of a specific staff department with no redundancy or loss of information from a function to another. This occurs because information is stored in a central unit and can be visualized by users with their own interface, that is purposely designed to make available only information of interest.
The result, thanks to the Business Reply highly qualified proficiency on Oracle, was definitely important: the automating of the most ordinary activities together with the standardizing and centralizing of processes gave way to a greater efficiency and, consequently, improved goods quality standards and services the company supplies its clients with.
