THE CHALLENGE

Create an innovative solution that removes a major traffic jam for Georgia-Pacific’s supply chain

SCENARIO

Efficiency to scale

For Georgia-Pacific, the work, and paper, intensive process of weighing and grading over 2 million truckloads of timber and wood fiber, was overdue for a digital update.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, we developed an integrated mobile app that gives drivers the ability to easily enter their purchase order information and weigh loads, while computer visioning technology and AI and Machine Learning conducts QA of the inbound wood and fiber.

To ensure a future-proof experience, the mobile app was designed and developed to offer the ability to scale and meet multiple future configurations for paper and pulp facilities.

Simple, intuitive app

A simple user interface makes the app easy-to-use for drivers, and integrates with technologies at the scaling location to automatically start capturing information when the driver arrives. The design also allows for new steps, workflows, and configurations and site locations as users are added.
