Business Challenge

In modern organizations, managing and evaluating skills across the workforce is a critical yet complex task. Resumes are often outdated, inconsistently formatted or spread across multiple systems. Employees struggle to maintain their CVs, while HR and management teams lack a clear and unified view of competencies across the company.

Two major challenges emerge:

  • Resume management – Employees find it time-consuming and difficult to update their resumes with new experiences, certifications or project outcomes.

  • Skills visibility – Organizations need a reliable, centralized method for identifying, assessing and mapping the skills and expertise of their people.

Solution Overview

Our Skill Center is an application powered by Generative AI that delivers skill intelligence by addressing both individual and organizational needs.

  • For employees, it offers an intelligent assistant capable of reading resumes in multiple formats, providing suggestions, rephrasing content, and making targeted improvements. In addition to parsing existing CVs, the assistant can also act as an interactive guide, similar to an interview, by asking relevant questions to gather missing or implicit information, helping users enrich and complete their profiles even if no resume is initially provided. Employees can interact naturally with the assistant to keep their CVs current, complete and aligned with career objectives.

  • For HR Department, Skill Center builds a structured, dynamic view of workforce capabilities. It enables HR and all employees involved in project coordination, project staffing, opportunity scouting or professional development to discover skills, identify experts, and support strategic talent planning.

The result is a dynamic system that benefits both talent development and enterprise-wide visibility into competencies.

Technical Implementation

The Skill Center application relies on a set of coordinated AI-driven processes:

  • Resume Understanding & Enrichment
Utilizes large language models (LLMs) to parse and understand resumes (PDF, DOCX, plain text). It identifies roles, skills, certifications, and achievements and allows users to iteratively improve their CVs through natural language interaction. Extracted data is organized using a flexible JSON structure, enabling downstream processing, integration and visualization.

  • Skill Extraction & Contextual Expansion
Extracted data is normalized and can be enriched with additional information from other enterprise systems such as project records, learning platforms or internal directories. This contributes to building a more complete and dynamic profile of each individual’s capabilities over time.

  • AI Assistant for Resume Editing
An AI-powered assistant supports users in rewriting, optimizing, and personalizing key sections of their resume. It provides suggestions to strengthen language, recommends role-aligned phrasing, and adapts tone and structure to improve clarity, coherence and professional impact.

  • Searchable Skill Intelligence Layer
An intelligent agent powered by a fine-tuned language model enables users to explore and retrieve required competencies through natural language interaction. This facilitates the discovery of relevant skills and identification of experts without relying on rigid keyword-based searches or predefined taxonomies.
