Enabling AI in consumer credit: Agos' new Data Platform

A cloud-native, scalable, and data-driven platform designed to simplify data access and enable AI adoption.

The challenge

Build a modern, scalable data platform to enable the adoption of artificial intelligence and support a data-driven technological transformation.

the scenario

An evolving technological ecosystem

Agos, among the leading Italian operators in consumer credit, serves over 2.7 million customers through a extensive network of branches and partners across Italy, offering a wide range of financial products and services.

In an increasingly competitive and constantly evolving market, the company needed to equip itself with a modern data platform capable of supporting faster decisions and laying the groundwork for the adoption of next-generation technologies, starting with artificial intelligence. Achieving this goal meant embarking on a transformation journey that simultaneously involved management systems, CRM, and cloud infrastructure, making a coordinated approach and governance necessary to align technological evolution with business priorities.

THE SOLUTION

A cloud-native data platform

To support the transformation journey, Target Reply partnered with Agos to design a modern Data Platform, defining an approach capable of integrating business objectives, data governance, and technological innovation into a single long-term strategy.

The solution implemented is a cloud-native, modular, and scalable Data Platform, designed to support business evolution, simplify data management, and create the technological foundations for the adoption of artificial intelligence solutions and an increasingly data-driven operating model.

How we did it

An integrated approach between AI, Data, and Change Management

To build the new Data Platform, Target Reply has defined a transformation path together with Agos, structured around three complementary directions aimed at modernising the data ecosystem, ensuring operational continuity, and creating the foundations for the adoption of artificial intelligence.

The project combined the analysis of business needs with the mapping of processes and business data sources. Identifying strategic data, dependencies between systems, and opportunities for enhancing information allowed for the definition of an implementation roadmap based on business priorities and the value generated for the organisation.

Artificial intelligence has been employed since the early stages of the project to support requirements gathering, data analysis, technical documentation production, development, and streamlining of existing software. Thanks to the use of AI agents developed by Target Reply, teams have been able to accelerate project activities, work in parallel on multiple streams, and improve the quality, speed, and consistency of delivery.

The technological transformation has been accompanied by a structured path of change management and training, aimed at promoting the adoption of the new Data Platform and spreading a culture increasingly oriented towards data. The initiative has made information accessible to various business profiles, facilitating a faster and more informed decision-making process.

The results

A Data Platform designed to evolve

Thanks to the new cloud-native architecture, Agos now has a modern and scalable technological foundation, designed to support the evolution of the business and facilitate the adoption of increasingly advanced technologies.

Infrastructure Scalability

A platform capable of growing with the business, orchestrating over 1,800 data flows and integrating the core processes of the entire organisation through a modern, reliable, and scalable infrastructure.

Integrated agentic AI in the project lifecycle

Greater delivery efficiency, with the ability to perform more tasks in parallel, reduce project timelines, and maintain high quality standards throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Data democratisation and data-driven culture

Easier and more widespread access to data, promoting an increasingly data-driven operating model thanks to self-service tools that make information accessible even to users with different technical skills.
