Roboverse Reply successfully concludes AMADEUS research project
Roboverse Reply, a specialist in robotics, 3D technologies and Agentic AI, has announced the successful conclusion and technical validation of its AI-driven emergency response solution, developed as part of the German research project AMADEUS (Airborne reMote observAtion anD rEscUe activitieS).
AMADEUS addresses severe disaster response scenarios where damaged or unavailable communication networks isolate emergency services. By successfully integrating autonomous robot fleets with temporary airborne networks, the project demonstrates how resilient, real-time situational awareness can be achieved in disaster response scenarios. For Roboverse Reply, the completion of this project marks a milestone in proving the reliability and operational readiness of its fleet management and embodied AI capabilities under extreme conditions.
Funded by the Federal Agency for Public Safety Digital Radio (BDBOS) the AMADEUS project combined the distinct expertise of leading German organisations:
- TH Wildau led the project management and oversaw the aviation engineering integration of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
- The Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS) developed the resilient 5G software-based communication infrastructure, ensuring secure data routing.
- The humanitarian organisation CADUS e.V. provided real-world application expertise, ensuring the technical solutions align with the field needs of first responders.
- Roboverse Reply served as the central technology integrator, deploying its proprietary Roboverse Reply platform to orchestrate the heterogeneous robot fleets, drive the autonomous computer vision algorithms and process real-time edge data.
To showcase the system’s capabilities to the public and discuss future field deployments, the AMADEUS consortium will host a live demonstration at Schönhagen Airfield on 8 July 2026. The event will simulate a scenario with a total collapse of communication lines. Attendees will see the end-to-end solution in action: a drone deploys a mobile airborne 5G cell to rapidly restore connectivity within the operational area. Managed from a mobile command vehicle, the Roboverse Reply platform will orchestrate autonomous aerial and ground robots. Using AI and computer vision, the fleet will autonomously map the disaster area, detect hazards, locate missing persons and transmit real-time, high-definition data back to the command centre.
