The topic of our Fireside Chat is the SDC Streaming Project, which Siemens is using to integrate Kafka into its data platform via the Confluent Cloud. The goal is to create a scalable, governance-oriented streaming platform that, as a self-service solution, enables Siemens employees to deliver real-time data products faster and more efficiently.
For participants, the discussion offers practical insight into how Data Mesh serves as the foundation for enterprise AI and why Siemens is placing this project at the core of its digital strategy. Topics of discussion will include governance design, the balancing act between standardization and developer team independence, connecting diverse data sources to Confluent, and the architecture of Kafka-based data products and cloud-native analytics solutions.
