Reducing infrastructure management costs

From traditional outsourcing to a service managed with Oracle Cloud

Oracle Cloud to optimize management costs

Having recently embarked on a path of innovation and efficiency of its technological infrastructure, Nidec Sole Motor Corporation, a leader in the design and manufacture of motors and drive systems for household appliances, decided to evolve its outsourcing system based on a traditional data centre model, to a service based on Oracle Cloud, thanks to which the company was able to optimise management costs.

Red Reply, an Oracle Managed Service Provider, specialised in the management of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services, helped Nidec implement the project. The solution made it possible to keep existing business functionality unchanged, thanks to the migration of the Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Supply Chain Management software applications onto the latest Oracle Cloud infrastructure.

Red Reply to support Nidec's migration

Thanks to its experience in Oracle Cloud infrastructure management, Red Reply was able to ensure an effective migration to the new infrastructure, thanks to a gradual and transparent process for all users. Dedicated cloud resources, such as CPUs and networks, made it possible to improve the performance of critical business applications, ensuring faster response times. Moreover, the segregation of environments, carried out based on Oracle’s best practices, provided the highest levels of security, both during the implementation of the new solution and in the management of the end-to-end system.

To complete the migration to Oracle Cloud, Red Reply, in its capacity as an Oracle Managed Service Provider, also activated its infrastructure management and support services. These services guarantee a high standard of data protection, flexibility of access to resources, hardware resilience and performance, savings for the customer and compliance with their requirements: features that have all been key in the path of innovation and efficiency on which Nidec has embarked.
