Adeptic Reply at the European Robotics Forum 2026

Adeptic Reply will take part in the European Robotics Forum 2026 (ERF), the leading event for the European robotics and AI community, bringing together over 1,000 participants from industry, academia, and the public sector. Held annually in a different European city, ERF is a key platform to explore cutting-edge technologies, foster collaboration, and address the latest challenges and trends shaping the future of robotics in Europe.
 

As part of the event, Adeptic Reply will participate in the workshop “From Lab to Fab: Advanced Control Strategies, RL, and Interfaces for Industrial Robotics”, together with Festo and Comau.

During the workshop, we will explore how Reinforcement Learning (RL) can be applied in production and industrial settings, with a concrete focus on how to bring these techniques from simulation to the factory floor. In particular, we will present an operational approach based on training in realistic simulation environments, with the aim of reducing adoption time in production contexts.
 

We will also share examples and practical guidance on how to use RL to train robots in simulation and adapt them to real-world conditions, openly addressing the main critical issues that arise when moving to production scenarios.

Part of the work and experience presented have been developed within the IPCEI-CIS program.

The workshop will cover the following topics:

• Reinforcement Learning in production: why and where RL is relevant on the shop floor
• Training in realistic simulations: how to leverage simulations to create an effective learning environment close to real operations
• Sim-to-real transfer: challenges and strategies to transfer models and policies from simulation to the real world
• Adoption roadmap: practical guidance to define a path for introducing RL into industrial processes
