The Cloud Native Summit (CNS) 2026 will take place on June 29–30 at smartvillage Bogenhausen in Munich. CNS Munich brings together over 400 professionals from the open source, cloud native, and AI engineering communities. The summit offers three tracks – Cloud Native & Open Source, AI Engineering, and Platform Engineering – plus hands-on workshops, and expert technical talks. Attendees benefit from knowledge sharing, networking, and breakout sessions in an interactive environment.

Why you need LLMOps for enterprise AI usage

In this session Fabian Brundke explains why LLMOps is emerging as a distinct operational discipline from classical MLOps, and why many organizations now need a dedicated LLMOps platform rather than ad-hoc scripts and point tools. LLMOps are framed as the operating model for generative systems whose outputs are non-deterministic and context-dependent, ensuring “governed generative trust” at scale. Fabian Brundke covers what the platform must standardize across teams and use cases including aspects like cost per token, performance, sovereignty and compliance. A reference architecture with a focus on cloud native tools shows how to design such a LLMOps platform.

Forget the Portal: Designing Headless, Intent-Driven Developer Platforms

Internal Developer Portals (IDPs) promised to eliminate friction, but the "Single Pane of Glass" has instead become a discovery bottleneck. As platform complexity scales, static GUIs force developers into rigid, out-of-band workflows that disrupt their focus and context.

This session introduces a reference architecture for the next evolution of platform engineering: Headless Developer Platforms. By decoupling the interface from the platform logic, we enable a distributed, intent-driven model that meets developers where they actually work, in their IDE, their CLI, and Chat.

We explore how the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standardizes the bridge between AI agents and platform APIs, allowing any backend orchestrator to fulfill complex requests through a unified protocol. Crucially, we address the inherent risks of headless systems, specifically how to maintain discoverability, handle ambiguous prompts, and ensure state visibility when the GUI is removed.

Attendees walk away with a practical, vendor-agnostic blueprint for building composable platforms that prioritize execution over navigation, without sacrificing auditability.
