Roboverse Reply is honored with the “Best Performance Award” at EnRicH 2025

Roboverse Reply, the Reply Group company specializing in integration scenarios involving robotics and reality capture with mixed reality, receives the “Best Performance” award in the “Unmanned eXpeditory Vehicle (UXV) Cooperation” category at the European Robotics Hackathon (EnRicH) 2025. The experts impressed the jury with their intelligent robotics solution, which successfully deployed two mobile robots and a drone to assist emergency services in high-risk environments.

The competition, organized by the Fraunhofer Institute for Communication, Information Processing and Ergonomics (FKIE) in collaboration with the Austrian Federal Office for Armament and Defence Technology (ARWT), brought together teams from around the world to develop cutting-edge solutions for use in nuclear incidents, large-scale disasters, and other high-risk scenarios. Participants were challenged to showcase their solutions under extreme conditions within the realistic and demanding setting of a nuclear power plant.

Roboverse Reply partnered with ELP, a specialist in technical equipment for police and military bomb disposal units, to deliver a fully integrated solution. The system leveraged two Boston Dynamics Spot robots alongside an autonomous DJI drone, working in seamless coordination. This collaboration was powered by the Roboverse Reply Platform, which harnessed advanced AI, mesh radio, Wi-Fi, and edge computing technologies to enable real-time, efficient interaction across all devices.

The mobile robots and drone operated autonomously to explore challenging environments such as complex pipe systems. Equipped with state-of-the-art sensors and AI-powered analysis, they delivered precise real-time data, mapped the terrain, and reliably detected hazards including radiation sources, mines, and dummies simulating injured individuals. In a critical scenario, virtual reality-assisted remote control was used to successfully close a safety valve with the robot’s gripper arm, effectively preventing the release of toxic substances.

“Autonomous systems are increasingly becoming active partners in emergency response,” said Filippo Rizzante, CTO of Reply. “With the Roboverse Reply Platform, we integrate drones, robotics, and immersive control into an intelligent solution that delivers targeted support to emergency services. At EnRicH 2025, we demonstrated how autonomous machines respond to risky situations, act proactively, collaborate within networks, and navigate complex scenarios alongside human operators. We are not only showcasing technological innovation but also presenting a solution for the networked rescue missions of the future.”

Building on its recent successes at the AIRA Challenge and ELROB last year, Roboverse Reply once again reinforces its position as a leader in autonomous robotics solutions for civil protection, industry, and critical infrastructure.
