Sustainability, digitalisation and project management: how do they fit together?
The connection between these three areas is not necessarily intuitively obvious. Yet virtually no project can manage without digital solutions - if only because those involved need to communicate. But software is also used in planning and implementation and plays the main role in IT projects. Sustainability criteria have hardly been taken into account so far, although the impact of ICT (Information and Communications Technology) on society and the environment can be serious.
In this session, we will discover the interplay between sustainability and ICT and find approaches on how project management can make a positive contribution.

The speech is part of a lecture series of the GPM specialist groups PMO, Construction & Infrastructure, Consulting in Project Management, PM at Universities, PM for Civic Engagement and the specialist group Norms and Standards in PM. In cooperation with the Forum Anthropocene (Vienna) and the Technical University of Braunschweig.
