Open Reply joined Droidcon Italy 2014, a two-day 100% Android focused conference about code, development, UX, graphics, distribution, advertising and much more. The event also featured workshops for hands-on sessions. Droidcon brings together the best and brightest talents in the industry. It is a must for anyone who wants to keep updated on Android innovations and find out about the latest technologies and trends.

Open Reply had a dedicated booth where they presented their most innovative and recently implemented best practices, as well as their mobile offering. In addition, Open Reply held two speeches on February 6:

  • At 9:50, "Augmented-smartphone: using the Android device beyond the display to interact with the surroundings" - the talk showed how to use latest API, Bluetooth classic and Bluetooth Low Energy, NFC and other technologies to empower user experience on real world.
  • At 12:30, "Android OS: Do It Yourself! - How to create and customize an Android build" - An Introduction to the Android Open Source Project followed by a show case on how a real-life project customizing the Android OS works.
