The Use Case:
Receipt Extraction Pipeline
Throughout the workshop, you'll work on a real scenario Storm Reply has delivered: a serverless API that ingests travel and expense receipts (PDF, JPEG, PNG), runs them through Amazon Textract's expense analysis, and returns structured payment data – vendor, date, total, VAT, line items – ready for downstream reimbursement processing. Think of travel receipts, hotel bills, and restaurant bills: documents that every finance department deals with on a daily basis.
You start from a one-page client brief and follow it end-to-end: drafting the specifications, generating the design, scaffolding the AWS backend, deploying it, and testing it against real sample receipts. By the end of the session you'll have taken a single project from brief to running, governed pipeline – with automating the agent loop and integrating with the tools your delivery team already uses.
