Wave 2026
Reply will be at Wave by Vento 2026, formerly Italian Tech Week, taking place from 7 to 9 October at OGR Torino.
Over three days dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship, founders, investors, professionals and international leaders from the tech world will come together to discuss the technologies transforming businesses and industries.
On 9 October at 10:50 am, on the Fucine stage, Filippo Rizzante, CTO of Reply, will deliver the talk “Your Knowledge, Your Model”, exploring the increasingly strategic role of AI in business and how proprietary data, knowledge, processes and expertise can be transformed into specialised AI systems. The session will examine the shift from using AI as a tool to building a strategic asset that can be controlled, adapted and integrated into an organisation’s operating model.
On the Binario 3 stage, on 9 October at 11:15 am, Federico Minutoli from Reply will join Professor Anna Dolganova from the Austrian Academy of Sciences and Annarosa Farina, CIO of the European Institute of Oncology – IEO, for the panel “From ancient Greek to oncology: the case for specialized AI”. The discussion will explore the development of AI systems built around domain-specific knowledge through two real-world examples: Apollo, the Austrian Academy of Sciences model developed to support the study of Ancient Greek papyri and inscriptions, and IEO’s experience in applying AI models and agents to clinical and scientific knowledge.
New frontiers in AI and computing
In the Tech Expo Area at OGR, Reply experts will showcase technologies and experiments exploring new frontiers in AI and computing, from specialised generative models and Digital Humans to Biological Computing.

ROSE
ROSE, Reply’s hyper-realistic Digital Human, is brought to life through a holographic display, combining AI and conversational interaction in an experience that bridges the digital and physical worlds. Digital Humans can be used as concierges or personal shoppers across a range of applications, from retail and customer experience to digital communication.
)
Biological Computing
Reply will showcase Cortical Labs’ CL1, a Biological Computing platform that combines living human neurons with software systems to explore forms of computing beyond traditional silicon-based architectures. CL1 is being used as part of research conducted by Reply together with the University of Milan and the Dino Ferrari Centre, investigating the potential of biological computing.

Custom LLMs
Bespoke LLMs are language models specialised in the knowledge of a specific domain, designed to address requirements that general-purpose models cannot meet with the same level of focus. One example is Apollo, the Ancient Greek model developed by the Austrian Academy of Sciences in collaboration with Sail Reply and Mistral. Apollo demonstrates how a specialised LLM can support the study and analysis of papyri, inscriptions and ancient texts.
Side Events
During Wave 2026, Reply will host three Side Events in Turin dedicated to AI, emerging technologies and gaming, combining guided tours, immersive experiences and activities focused on gaming and esports.
Area42 Tour
Reply invites participants to discover Area42, its laboratory dedicated to developing technologies for autonomous operational intelligence. During the tour, participants will explore how AI, robotics, Edge Computing, intelligent connectivity, drones and autonomous systems are integrated and tested in real-world scenarios spanning logistics, manufacturing, mobility and industrial environments.
