PayOne: A mobile optimized B2B website

Vanilla Reply supported with establishing a new self image.

A new self-image

Digitalization is also advancing rapidly in shopping and payment. Many new expectations and demands have emerged on the part of consumers. For payment providers, this means getting strategically fit for the future and positioning themselves more broadly: It is important to connect the different payment worlds on site and online, while keeping an eye on trends and continuously responding to them contemporary with new developments.

Payone, for retailers with stationary shops, eCommerce traders and omnichannel solutions, is therefore focusing on a new identity and a changed self-image. This was to be underlined by a striking visual language, a completely new design, a state-of-the-art logo, a new website and a unified social media presence.

The requirements

  • Designing and structuring a contemporary, user-centric and user-friendly B2B website.

  • Implementation of a high-performance CMS system that offers a high degree of flexibility in terms of visual design and editing as well as of security and stability.

  • In terms of usability and performance, the frontend was to be implemented as Single Page Application (SPA) and be ideally usable on all common end devices.

  • As the market leader for payment services in the DACH region, the new system must allow easy maintenance and changeover of the country-language combination.

Payone is getting fit for the future

For this purpose, Vanilla Reply, in collaboration with Triplesense Reply, planned and designed the new corporate website as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with many details. Technically, the team implemented, among other things, a high-performance Headless-CMS from Storyblok with individually developed features. The entire frontend was developed with the lightweight as well as powerful JavaScript framework Vue.js and is delivered as a Single-Page-Application (SPA) via Amazon-Web-Services (AWS). This makes the web application easy for users to maintain in both mobile and desktop formats - even in multiple languages and markets (countries). The Software-as-a-Service-(SaaS-)CMS is also flexibly scalable.

The successes

The components developed individually for the client support the editors in the intuitive design of the pages in several countries. A clearly recognizable style line facilitates the design according to Payone's corporate design guidelines. As a result, users move through the entire website virtually free of interruptions.

In addition, the development offers competitive future prospects:

Storyblok offers no restriction on technologies. This allows developers to constantly expand the range of functions, for example, through an integrated store system or the further development of existing components.
