The challenge

Among our clients is one of the international leaders in the development, manufacturing, marketing and servicing of a vast range of light, medium, and heavy commercial vehicles. Acknowledging the importance of connectivity onboard their vehicles, they decided to develop a telematics solution able to connect vehicles and offer new connected services. We support them in testing both onboard and off-board solutions, such as:

  • Vocal driver companion powered by Alexa: End-to-End testing and conversation flow validation

  • Vehicle diagnostics: Vehicle data analysis to predict the failure of parts

  • Data consistency testing: Perfect matching of onboard system data and back-end data 

  • Fleet management apps: End-to-end validation in real situations (on-road testing)

  • Remote assistance and control: Extensive testing to ensure 100% reliability.

The solution: a full scope E2E testing factory

We created an end-to-end testing factory for our client, covering the whole testing process:

  • Component validation (embedded and mobile app features validation): More than 2000 functional tests developed

  • E2E connected services system validation (also on road in-vehicle tests): We developed more than 1000 system tests and executed 3500 tests per year, including digital channel validation and API testing

  • Cross device compatibility: We executed more than 1000 tests per year monitoring how the mobile devices market evolves, and testing customer mobile applications against the most significant devices and OS version

  • Performance test: We support the development and validation of back end systems with monitoring probes, and performance and stress tests.
