KEY FACTORS

FOCUS ON: LEA Reply,

The new LEA Reply™ originates from Logistics Reply's experience in executive Supply Chain digital services and from years of research and development in new communication and interaction paradigms. These were tested directly in the laboratory, and a whole range of new technologies was subsequently tested in the field.

Indeed, many of the key factors on which the new LEA Reply™ plaform is based, arise from technology.

Key factors can be divided into two macro groups with different visibility:

  • "Widely Available", easily recognisable
  • "Emerging", starting to gain a certain level of notoriety

Among the‘Widely Available’ we can find:

  • Service-oriented architectures, all functions displayed as services, greater governance
  • Cloud, functions displayed through the 'as a Service' paradigm, low TCO, flexibility
  • Mobile, all functions can be accessed remotely and from everywhere in the world
  • Smart Objects\Sensors, access to all information and data that are connected to the sensors of the new types of device
  • BigData, the ability to manage big groups of data and to analyse them easily
  • Business Intelligence, extracting information from structured and unstructured data to support the business
  • Business Process Management, process management based on specific rules and with the support of a workflow engine

Among the ‘Emerging’ ones, we can find:

  • In-Memory, reduction of data loading-time for processing, since data is stored directly in memory
  • User Experience, Human-Machine-Interfaces and natural user interfaces change the man-machine and machine-machine interactions, introducing strong automatism, AI and machine learning features
  • Internet of Things, all objects are connected to the Internet, through which they offer a variety of services (Internet of Services). Basic services are the channel through which you can access the object's functions. These allow the state of the object or the surrounding environment to be monitored (through Sensors) and give access to the object's more complex functions
  • Machine Learning, machines learn basic concepts and are therefore responsive and proactive in relation to the context in which they are placed
  • Autonomous Vehicles, vehicles which can operate independently, without dedicated supervision
  • Computer Vision, machines are equipped with advanced identification systems through the use of cameras
  • Open Hardware, rapid prototyping allowing the validation of Industry 4.0 scenarios
