The ongoing digitisation of products, services and processes means companies are facing new chances as well as risks, and one or more of the following challenges will take centre stage:
Companies want to exploit the chances provided by digitisation or counteract the risks involved. They are therefore looking for a specific starting point for this subject.
New business models for existing products and services are being searched for. A prototype facilitates the discussion of this topic within the company and with customers.
Manufacturers want to network their products and extend them with new features and services. As a result of this, specific ideas and prototypes are being sought for the next product generation.
Networked products are already available, and suitable profitable business models and business cases are now being sought.
For data, which is already being extracted from processes and end devices, new applications are being sought. Companies want to use their data productively.
Companies are looking for a professional, high-performance, scalable IT solution for networked products and new business models. With the Reply Smart Service Prototyping Approach, Syskoplan Reply provides companies with methods and services for dealing with these challenges. With the four flexible modules, Design Thinking, IoT Workshop, Data Lab and HCP Workshop, the creative process for establishing new business models and IoT products can be executed in a methodical and structured manner.
Together with the University of St. Gallen, we deal with the challenges within an interdisciplinary team with experts and stakeholders from our customers. In the creative atmosphere of the Design Thinking Labs, focus is placed on the future product users.
In the IoT Workshop, an initial functional prototype consisting of electronic base modules is created within a few days. In addition to the actual function, the optic and also haptic perception is also important, which involves implementing the design using 3D printing.
In the Data Lab, Data Scientists from Reply examine the collected data in order to identify new perspectives and added value. This involves the three core building blocks of Data Exploration, Analytical Modelling and Visualisation.
For the connection of the IoT devices, the implementation of the data analyses and the integration within an end-to-end process, such as with a mobile front end, we make use of the SAP Cloud platform.
The prototype that is created within a period of 4-6 months is then made available in-house and to customers for the purpose of further evaluations.
The described procedure has already proven to be a successful and efficient approach within the commercial vehicle sector, among others.
Please us for an initial meeting, so that we can provide you with further information on the possibilities that the Smart Service Prototyping Approach can offer your company.
