Its modular design is responsible in no small part for the success concept of the Macros Reply world of products and solutions: the basic technologies are the first level. As technologically advanced building blocks of the Macros Reply products, these meet all the requirements pertaining to high availability, stability and performance, and work based on components. All elements are XML configurable and use the same access technologies for databases, server applications and third-party systems. They are available for different Windows and Linux-based server platforms and use MS SQL-Server, Oracle and other relational databases, depending on the specific project.
Products and solutions from Macros Reply are composed of the following technological elements:
Macros eBridge is a full suite of adapters to connect all of your work-related programs to the Macros products. This tight fusion of components makes your processes consistent, free of media interruptions and makes work intuitive. You benefit, for example, from direct jumps to department systems, from automatic data synchronisation, pre-filled masks or the intensive integration of your Office and e-mail programs. The Macros eBridge adapter suite includes connectors for storage and archive systems (Macros eConnect), e-mail and Office systems (Macros eXtensions), core and specialised systems (Macros eHost), SAP and ERP systems (e.g. Macros eConnect4SAP).
The Macros eBuilder is the efficient way to create database-based web applications, and enables the setting-up of menus, forms, lists and the complete process control without programming. With focus on the user, eBuilder can quickly and easily configure applications in a prototypical process. The early integration of subsequent users in the application design creates a guarantee for user acceptance. The modular design of eBuilder provides the consistent separation of business logic and technology.
The technical workflow engine Macros eNform supports all steps in the transaction-secure processing of documents and data – from the inbox to the outbox. In addition to the input channel-dependent archiving of documents and information, Macros eNform also taps into third-party systems for additional metadata. As an invisible paperclip holding the entire process together, Macros eNform ensures that all steps (eSteps) are performed correctly in the entire process and records the results.
Macros eReport enables you to create comprehensive reports and statistics within the Macros products using text-based templates. For the creation of barcode sheets, exporting lists or generating documents from database content – Macros eReport is the foundation for all of these tasks. By using templates, the results can be called up at any time ad hoc or at regular intervals. Templates for report design can be defined in RTF, CSV, text, XML. The files are then output as HTML, Word or Excel.
Macros eRules is the technical basic component for asynchronous, periodically recurring background processes and uses XML to provide configurable tasks. The tasks can be planned using scheduling entries and, for example, be launched once only, daily at a specific time or even only once a year. Furthermore, the jobs can be started manually with an API (e.g. from other systems). Macros eRules is used for the acquisition of user information and rights via LDAP, for master data synchronisation with third-party systems, for monitoring deadlines and escalation mechanisms, for regular update and delete tasks, when archiving documents in the long term archive, etc.
With Macros eThumb, stored images and documents can be displayed as thumbnails/small images. Navigation to desired content is greatly accelerated by the rapid detection. Macros eThumb converts files from different input formats into small JPEGs and manages them in a high-performance database structure. The input formats can be image formats (tif, jpeg, gif, png, bmp, etc.) and print formats (such as pdf).
