Managing partner for C5 Insight, Geoff Ables is taking on the role of chairman at the SharePoint and 0365 Strategies Conference held by the Advanced learning Institute. Ables will also present the internal conference’s keynote address and lead a workshop.
The communications conference will be held at San Diego’s Hotel Republic, part of the Marriott’s luxury Autograph Collection from May 21 to May 23, 2019.
Roadmap for SharePoint workshop
A workshop titled ‘Planning for transformation: Building a SharePoint Roadmap’ will be led by Ables on the first day of the event (May 21). Projects concerning the digital workplace seek to transform the outdated legacy thinking of companies into fully engaged teams of employees who disrupt their opposition but often lose their way.
Ables will outline in this workshop what a SharePoint roadmap should comprise, how to construct it and what should be omitted. Delegates will be presented with a copy of the Roadmap Workbook and get involved in group-based exercises. These sessions will also illustrate how to build Return On Investment (ROI), why people and their processes are far more important than technology they are utilising, how to keep a leadership team engaged, change management’s role and journey mapping to transform their organisations, among other topics.
Sharepoint and Microsoft 365 Q and A
May 22 will see Ables acting as moderator at the “I’ve Got the Tools – Now What? Your Biggest SharePoint & O365 Questions Answered” session. This is an opportunity for delegates to find answers to particular challenges and concerns they are facing to do with SharePoint and Microsoft 365 from an expert panel.
Conference keynote address
On the final day of the conference on May 23, Ables will present his keynote speech entitled “Building a People-Centric Digital workplace”. Offering a visionary peek into what our future working ways might be, Ables will also present practical steps for transformation. Through five example case studies, he will define how people-centric looks and analytics, big data, processes, culture and collaboration need to align.
The goal of the address is that delegates will leave the conference newly informed and inspired with plenty of ideas on how to drive the necessary change to transform the organisations they represent. Five common sense rules that are not commonly put into practice will be taught to attendees regarding engagement, as well as the differences between relationship-based business processes and business processes considered standard. A collection of 15 tips, including best practices, will also be offered within a workbook handed out to attendees on the people-centric workplace.
Ables is also the bestselling author of the book “The LUCK Principle: business Results at the Intersection of People & Profit.”
