Our history

With Root16 Reply you get a partner that punches above their weight, with the expertise found in big consulting without all the overhead and red tape. While our team is small, we collectively have over 250+ years of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform experience (>400k consulting hours).

Sonoma Partners was a boutique consulting firm with a Microsoft Dynamics (Inner Circle Partner) and a Salesforce practice. Our founders served as senior leadership team members and were responsible for all operational aspects of the organization. Successfully grew team to 160+ employees prior to acquisition.

Returned to our roots in boutique consulting and founded Root16 - a Chicago-based partner 100% focused on Microsoft (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Copilot). Recognized as the Microsoft Americas Systems Integration Emerging Partner of the Year in 2025. Successfully grew the firm to 50+ people prior to acquisition.

In August 2025 we joined Reply, a network of highly specialized companies focused on processes, applications, and technologies across the US and Europe. Being part of the Reply network expands what we can offer - combining our focus and agility with the reach, expertise, and innovation capabilities of a global group. It’s an opportunity to keep doing what we do best (Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, and Copilot), while opening new possibilities for our people and our customers.

OUR NAME

"Root16 Reply. That's a unique name. What's the story?"

It's a question we get all the time. Here are the three answers (which one you get, depends on who you ask.) Our name is a daily reminder to take things back to the basics and focus on what is truly important: trusted partnerships. While our team creates the solid foundation, our customers are the branches of everything we do.
