Quest Software named as 2019 finalist for Microsoft Award

FOCUS ON: Microsoft, Awards,

Security software company Quest has announced it has been recognised as a finalist for the Microsoft Health partner of the Year Award 2019. The California-headquartered company joined an elite international list of Microsoft partners also honoured for showing excellence through innovation and successfully implementing customer solutions using Microsoft technologies.

President for Microsoft Platform Management at Quest, Michael Tweddle, stated:

“Being recognised as a 2019 Microsoft Health Partner of the Year Award Finalist is a validating proof-point that Quest continues to be an industry leader in providing solutions that help healthcare organisations migrate, manage and secure their Microsoft environment. We are proud of our achievements and look forward to continued success with Microsoft.”

Recognition for being thought leaders

The Awards were bestowed from 41 areas with winning partners picked from over 2,900 entries sourced from 115 countries across the globe. Quest received recognition for delivering exceptional services and solutions based on Microsoft technology to its customers, thereby displaying expertise in the health industry.

Corporate Vice President at Microsoft Corporation Gavriella Schuster stated:

“It’s an honour to recognise finalists and winners of the Microsoft 2019 Partner of the Year Awards.

“These companies are successfully leading their industries, building intelligent solutions, addressing complex business challenges and making more possible for customers around the world.”

A notable history in problem solving

Quest has a successful and lengthy record of giving healthcare organisations the necessary tools to securely operate Microsoft environments. The healthcare industry constantly faces multiple IT demands. IT departments must balance consolidation and modernisation in the face of rigid compliance laws, increased security requisites and rolling out updated EHR (Electronic Health Record) software. Quest’s software solutions for healthcare have assisted many industry providers, insurers and hospitals internationally, facilitating data migration, management and security in Active Directory, SharePoint, Office 365, Azure AD, Exchange and OneDrive for Business.

Avera health, one of Quest’s healthcare customers, provides a case study. Recently, the organisation updated its Active Directory infrastructure in preparation for modernisation during which it provided optimum levels of patient care. To simplify data migration Avera Health amalgamated four Active Directory forests into just one.

Senior Systems Engineer for the healthcare provider, Curtis Mavity, commented on the assistance from Quest:

“Trying to plan and migrate multiple domains and forests into one Azure tenant would have been a nightmare if we didn’t modernise AD first with Quest migration solutions.”

Avera healthcare successfully completed the consolidation of its Active Directory in close to half the time estimated with absolutely no impact on its end users, zero disruption to care of patients and no data loss. The modernisation of Avera’s Active Directory also sped up the Microsoft 365 and Azure adoption, as it resulted in a reduction in costs for IT management, made simple synchronisation from on-premises to cloud and streamlined licence provisioning and purchasing in Office 365.
