Thanks to an all-new product created by the teamwork of Microsoft and cyber security specialist NCC Group, firms can now utilise Azure cloud-based operations with greater confidence.
Managing the mandatory minefield of compliance, Escrow as a Service (EaaS) makes certain organisations continue to operate smoothly and at optimum as they make the move to Microsoft’s cloud-based platform Azure.
Designed and developed to offer organisations a strong and sturdy system in the Azure cloud for the most critical and sensitive elements of business, EaaS comprises both legal contracts and cutting edge protection where it’s needed most.
NCC Global Chief Technical Officer, Ollie Whitehouse stated:
“Our increasingly connected world is accelerating towards a future based in the cloud. As a business, we are continuously innovating to protect and secure our customers’ critical assets. Escrow as a Service marks a huge step forward in providing a complete cloud resilience solution for business, giving confidence and peace of mind to innovate with new and emerging technology.”
Two solutions from Escrow as a Service
At present EaaS provides a choice of two separate solutions to opt for. The first option is called Access, which offers users the capability to directly gain access to cloud based servers if they prefer to use applications of their own.
Replicate, the second solution makes copies of files. The duplicated data can then be accessed as a mirror version of information produced. While more will eventually be made available, these are the inaugural cloud solutions offered for the planned series to be launched from NCC Group.
Microsoft UK's Director of Azure Business, Micheal Wignall commented on how the EaaS is allowing companies to meet the challenges of modern business while discovering the multiple benefits of using cloud technology. He stated:
“We have already seen companies in the retail and financial sectors adopt this solution and embrace a new way of working that’s fit for the 21st century and into the future. We are excited about this collaboration with NCC Group.”
These new solutions work to reassure users that their data, particularly when sensitive, is still safely accessible in the cloud. The capabilities have been created utilising NCC Group’s three decades of security experience combined with Microsoft’s prowess as a cloud service provider.
With the rise in cyber security issues like malicious malware and phishing attack it has never been more pertinent to develop impenetrable defences. As attacks increase in complexity cyber security must continue to evolve and meet the challenge. Safeguarding sensitive and personal data stored on cloud-based platforms is a vital part of compliance that must be adhered to.
