Druva attains 100+ percent growth in Office 365 backup adoption

FOCUS ON: Managed Cloud Services, Saas&Cloud Computing, Office 365,

Druva Inc, the leading provider of cloud data management and protection, announced recently that key enterprises are progressively looking to Druva to protect Microsoft Office 365 data for them.

Druva provide an all-in-one solution for visibility, compliance and data management in the cloud - driving its popularity for protection. This powerful and simplified solution offers a departure from overhead costs and traditional infrastructure. In the last 12 months, the California-headquartered provider’s Office 365 backup customer base has shown record growth with expansion of over 100 per cent.

Protecting company interests in Office 365

International organisations are turning to Drupal for a comprehensive solution such as Workforce Software, the San Jose Sharks, China Aviation Oil (CAO) and Integreon to protect their Office 365 data.

As the number one SaaS (Software as a Service) application for enterprises, Office 365 has become instrumental in the success and endurance of leading organisations improving and facilitating effective collaboration and workforce productivity. While compliance regulations like GDPR make storage complex, it is essential that organisation data within Office 365 be backed up and protected.

Druva’s solution has been created to deliver a comprehensive service that solves the challenges of data storage and defence while adhering to regulatory demands and navigating governance requirements. It seeks to not only offer full back up facilities with recovery, but protection from malicious attacks. In its protection for Microsoft Office 365, combined with its powerful capabilities for governance, Druva intends to deliver a suite empowered to manage an enterprise’s data completely.

Keeping pace with Office 365

Druva regularly instates new capabilities to match the ongoing enhancements to Office 365.

Founder and CEO of Druva, Jaspreet Singh stated:

“As the depth of Office 365 expands, the number of vectors for potential data loss - human error, misconfiguration, malicious activities, insecure devices, etc. - become of increasing concern. Enterprises now have a better understanding of shared responsibility in the cloud and are seeking solutions that can meet their business continuity and long-term retention needs while limiting cost and overall complexity.”

The new capabilities Druva introduces every month or so are designed to deliver their clients value and increased speed. These include backup and restore capabilities and granular policies across the main three services in Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive and Exchange Online.

The latest features to bolster backup and restore for Office 365 include:

  • Improved SharePoint and OneDrive recovery at all levels, time and place without additional support.
  • Point-in-time Exchange recovery: unavailable with standard Office 365 tools, this feature allows admins to recover disused accounts, so clients can re-purpose licenses.
  • Final line of defence against malicious ransomware, while recovery is underway users can access known good data.
  • Increased retention options allow users to store data from SharePoint, Exchange and OneDrive together in one system.
