A company that specialises in financial services and has its main base in London is set to provide information technology jobs for 300 people in Belfast, when it opens a new tech hub there.
The employment opportunities at Tullett Prebon will become available during the next couple of years, and are set to provide salaries of around £33,000 on average. The company has confirmed that it will be constructing an important new technology hub within Belfast, where the employees will be based, and Arlene Foster, the First Minister of Northern Ireland, stated that the Belfast economy is set to benefit to the tune of £10m as a result.
She continued that the decision of Tullett Prebon showed real confidence in the technology skills possessed by people in Belfast, and Martin McGuinness, her deputy, added:
“Tullett Prebon creating 300 new jobs and choosing to locate their new technology centre here is terrific news. The new jobs will offer an average salary of £33,000, providing excellent opportunities for graduate and experienced IT professionals as well as school leavers.”
Once it is completed, this technology centre will be Tullett Prebon’s worldwide IT operations hub, and will also assist in speeding up the process of getting new solutions onto the market. The grand opening of the centre is expected to take place during 2019.
