AGILE COACHING: DRIVE THE CHANGE

We live in an age of great change that has required exceptional flexibility and adaptability. In this context, the work pace is more dynamic and Agile is the right methodology to meet these needs.

Introduction

How to best manage a project? Impossible to find an unambiguous answer to that question. However, we can make the flow of internal information and the execution of tasks more fluid so that the project is better managed. The methodology that has allowed this for decades is Agile.

Moving to Agile can be difficult, especially when a team or organization is rooted in a more traditional project management approach. Technology Reply works side by side with customers to help them in this challenge. If you don't know how to start introducing the Agile methodology into your team, we'll help you!

Opportunity

Nowadays, being dynamic and flexible is a must in order to be able to respond quickly to the required changes. Adopting Agile techniques allows companies to increase productivity, improve communication and ensure faster customer delivery. Using Agile is the best way to deal with situations with characteristics such as, for example:

  • Projects or contexts subject to constant change
  • Need to reduce Time To Market
  • Agile methodology is the winning strategy for ever-changing product requirements.

The limits of a traditional approach

Traditional management is highly structured and detailed and develops over a typically long period of time. The requirements of the final product are defined from the beginning and it is expensive and difficult to make changes during developments. The interaction with the business is sporadic, and sometimes what is requested in the first design phase is "rejected" later. The customer has the product available only upon completion of the entire design cycle. The Agile methodology, on the other hand, uses small teams that continuously communicate with the business. This makes it easier to make any changes quickly. Working groups are therefore more effective and increase the chances of successfully meeting the client's objectives. Customers have a core product available right from the start, which is extended over time based on the business priorities that are gradually identified.

How to manage change with Agile

At Technology Reply we know that moving from a traditional approach to Agile methodology can be difficult. The transition to agile practices, in fact, requires a cultural change of the entire organization. We have been facing this transformation process for some time and today we manage many projects in Agile. Armed with this experience, we also support our customers in adopting this methodology. The support activity offered consists of several phases that allow to know and understand the customer's reality. Subsequently, through the teaching of principles and methodologies, a guide is provided in the use of these principles with a particular focus on tools.

The path with which we accompany the customer in learning and applying Agile can be represented in 3 steps:

Discovery

Discovery: Reply Technology plays the role of observer and facilitator in the processes. The working group is not changed because at this stage we just need to understand how the team is currently working. We try to facilitate the communication and information exchange processes already present.

Workshop

Workshop: meetings are organized in which we provide the key principles useful for solving the problems encountered. The aim is to show how the Agile approach works and how it can be applied to the work team.

Coaching

Coaching: after the client has started to put Agile principles into practice, the role of Technology Reply becomes support and coaching activity. The working groups will now be structured.

Our Agile Team

Technology Reply has always worked to ensure its customers cutting-edge consultancy, which not only embraces the most consolidated working methods, but also guarantees support for their adoption in the customer's teams. We offer several expert and certified figures, who can fill the roles provided for by the methodology. The certifications that Technology Reply offers to its employees are:

  • Professional Scrum Master

However, certifications and courses from external institutions are not the only way in which we continue to train our teams. Internal courses held by Reply's experts for other employees and oriented towards Agile training are also frequently organized.
