Data evolution in the MEA Region: a new Lakehouse to support business
Scenario
In large organizations, data is a strategic asset, but it is often spread across different platforms, making it difficult to integrate and leverage effectively for business purposes. Technology Data Reply helps its clients overcome these challenges by enabling centralized and scalable architectures that allow data to be fully exploited in a data-driven approach.
In this context, we supported a leading automotive company in the design of a regional lakehouse for the MEA Region, capable of integrating data from the global lakehouse, filtered and enriched for the local context. The new architecture also ensures the ability to manage the ingestion of new data, which first passes through the global lakehouse to promote future reuse.
Benefits
The new lakehouse will allow the client to:
Centralize and provide MEA regional data in a consistent and reliable way.
Calculate strategic KPIs in sales (orders, dealer stock, production efficiency), marketing (configurator usage, online quotes and orders), and after-sales (spare parts sales, vehicle repair costs).
Access interactive PowerBI dashboards with dedicated visualizations for different business domains.
Improve data governance and adopt a data-driven approach to optimize decision-making processes.
Solution
Technology Data Reply guided the client through a structured journey, articulated in several key phases:
Analysis of business rules for each KPI and business domain.
Design and implementation of data ingestion and transformation layers, using ETL processes orchestrated with Airflow and modeled with DBT.
Data centralization on Snowflake, ensuring scalability, performance, and flexibility.
Development of PowerBI dashboards, optimized for regional business users.
Thanks to this initiative, the client will have, by December 2025, a modern and scalable data platform capable of supporting business growth in the MEA Region and ensuring unified, efficient, and strategic reporting.
