The demands on modern B2B commerce platforms are constantly increasing: companies need scalable, integrated systems that both relieve the IT landscape and deliver consistent user experiences. Starting Point in E-Commerce

The company is globally recognized for its innovative design as well as the quality and durability of its products. In addition, the company primarily relies on an SAP-based IT landscape. However, the existing B2B shop solution offered only limited extensibility, required significant integration effort to connect with surrounding systems, and faced pressure from newer, technologically advanced solutions entering the market. Moreover, the organization was in a transitional phase toward unified use of S/4HANA ERP in the Private Cloud as its leading ERP system.

This led to new requirements for integration and e-commerce processes. On top of that, there were two parallel purchasing channels for devices and spare parts - with separate catalogs, checkouts, and permissions. The result was inconsistent user experiences, longer time-to-market for features and rollouts, and rising total cost of ownership. The company therefore sought a standardized, scalable foundation that could seamlessly integrate into the existing SAP landscape, flexibly accommodate country-specific requirements, and consolidate both devices and spare parts into a high-performance B2B shop.

The Scalable B2B Shop Template

For the template, Syskoplan Reply established SAP Commerce Cloud as the central webshop instance and connected it to the SAP Composable Storefront as the leading frontend. Through integrated order simulations with S/4HANA and the CRM system, the shop provides real-time pricing and availability. Placed orders are reliably replicated into ERP/CRM, supported by CPI as the middleware.
