E-Invoice

Fit for the future: Your e-invoicing with SAP Finance

The legal obligation to use electronic invoicing has been in place since January 1, 2025, and brings with it new requirements for companies in the B2B environment. In the future, invoices must be issued, transmitted, and received in a structured, electronic format. While the obligation to receive invoices already applies, the gradual obligations to send invoices will follow in 2027 and 2028.

To help you not only comply with these regulatory requirements but also benefit from them, we support you in introducing e-invoicing. Our solution is based on the Peppol network (Pan-European Public Procurement OnLine) and provides a uniform interface for the secure exchange of invoices. ISO 20022 transition

International Standards Ahead: Transition to ISO 20022

Starting in November 2025, the introduction of ISO 20022 will bring far-reaching changes to electronic payments. The widely used MT940 format for account statements will be permanently replaced by CAMT, and the message formats for payment instruments will also be gradually converted by 2026 at the latest. This may require changes to your ERP systems.

We support your conversion in both ECC and S/4HANA systems. With coordinated customizing and close coordination with your banks, we ensure that your systems are future-proof.
