MainStreet Partners:
Cloud ready for the future
Improve business performance with the new generation Amazon RDS R7i instances.
MainStreet Partners modernizes the cloud infrastructure to increase performance, efficiency, and scalability
With a growing client base in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, MainStreet Partners leverages applications that must process large amounts of data and real-time analytics to power its platform and anticipate the new needs of investors.
With the increase in data volumes and the evolution of analytical workloads, the company saw the opportunity to enhance its infrastructure to ensure continuous performance and scalability.
Although Amazon RDS R5 instances have reliably supported the platform, the increasing demands and ever more complex workloads have highlighted the potential for further optimizations, especially in terms of I/O, CPU efficiency, and processing speed.
Hence the strategic and proactive decision to modernize the company's cloud architecture.
The modernization of the infrastructure
A strategic choice
Anticipating future growth and increased data sophistication, MainStreet Partners has initiated a strategic modernization of its cloud infrastructure to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. The company has collaborated with Reply, a global network of companies specializing in consulting, systems integration, and digital services. Reply has provided in-depth expertise in optimizing cloud infrastructures, cost-performance analysis, and AWS best practices.
With the support of Intel, Storm, a company of the Reply group, has guided MainStreet Partners in transitioning to Amazon RDS R7i instances, based on fourth-generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors. The goal was to evolve from an already effective environment to a next-generation infrastructure, capable of growing with the increase in ESG and sustainability data, while also enabling new opportunities in analytics, automation, and AI.
A new enhanced cloud environment
Improved performance and optimized efficiency
Storm Reply and Intel have collaborated closely to analyze performance and optimize R7i instances based on the specific needs of MainStreet Partners' workloads, which include complex ESG algorithms, real-time portfolio data integration, and high-intensity cryptocurrency transactions. In this context, it was essential to ensure that the new environment surpassed previous performance, operating with greater efficiency.
The modernization has focused on migrating core workloads to Amazon RDS R7i instances, built on fourth-generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors.
Additionally, the fourth generation Intel processors support DDR5 memory, which offers significantly higher bandwidth compared to the DDR4 memory of the R5 instances, allowing for faster data access and better real-time analytical performance.

The collaboration with Intel
Optimization and benchmarking
Intel partnered with Storm Reply in a structured co-engineering and optimization process. Intel engineers provided:
performance analysis tools and telemetry guidance, to identify CPU, memory, and I/O behaviors specific to;
recommendations for optimal configuration of memory and storage intensive workloads, to overcome performance limitations encountered in RDS R5 instances.
Thanks to the support of Intel engineers, Storm Reply has verified that the new configuration surpassed previous benchmarks, achieving greater efficiency, responsiveness, and scalability.
The results
Measurable improvements on all fronts
The modernization of the infrastructure has led to immediate and concrete results.
The benefits
Thanks to modernization, MainStreet Partners has managed to reduce the overall computing resources required, significantly improving system responsiveness. This change has translated into tangible benefits for the business: faster reporting cycles, greater agility in customer service, and better cost control.
Attention to the future
The basics for growth
The result of this collaboration is a future-ready cloud infrastructure, based on Amazon RDS R7i instances using Intel technology, optimized by Storm Reply and perfectly aligned with the real-time data analysis needs of a rapidly evolving fintech. Today, MainStreet Partners operates with greater agility, processing speed, and system reliability. Even more importantly, the technological foundation now supports new analysis flows, real-time scoring engines, and advanced AI capabilities, which will drive the next phase of sustainable investments.
For technology leaders facing similar challenges, this case demonstrates the tangible value of transitioning to next-generation infrastructures: performance, efficiency, scalability, and the ability to facilitate innovation at the platform level.
