Level Designer


Reply Game Studios is looking for a skilled Level Designer to be part of our team – a professional that will be working closely with Artists, Designers and Programmers in order to create high quality game levels for our new project.

As a member of the Design team you will be responsible of crafting engaging gameplay experiences using Unreal Engine.

Responsibilities:

  • Sketch the layout of game levels and model them with simplified geometry
  • Place gameplay objects and cameras in the game levels
  • Script gameplay events
  • Test and refine game levels through multiple iterations and reviews
  • Collaborate with the other members of the team to develop the overall vision of the game

Required Skills:

  • Ability to pre-visualize a level with artistic sensibility, and to create dramatic scenes with simplified geometry
  • Expertise in scripting languages, such as Lua or Python
  • High proficiency in communication skills and teamwork attitude
  • Experience working closely with Art and Programming teams
  • Ability to handle constructive feedback and criticism
  • Availability to work on site, in Milan

Desired Skills:

  • 2+ Years in the game industry, with teamwork experience
  • Shipped at least 1 game on console or PC as a Level Designer
  • Good working knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max, or other similar 3D modeling software tools
  • Good working knowledge of Unreal Engine

Narrative Designer


Reply Game Studios is looking for a skilled Narrative Designer to be part of our team – a professional that will be responsible of developing dialogues and supplemental writing for the game's story while helping maintain the consistency and integrity of the intellectual property in our next project.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and iterate on dialogues, world-building, character and story documentation
  • Implement narrative events and dialogues, taking direction from the Game Director, the Lead Designer and the Level Design team
  • Perform early test of dialogues implementation and provide quick feedback for changes and updates
  • Work with the Audio Director, external dubbing directors, and voice actors to provide guidance during recording sessions

Required Skills:

  • Ability to think creatively and flexibly, with a result-oriented mindset
  • High proficiency in communication skills and teamwork attitude
  • Experience working closely with Programming and Audio teams
  • Ability to handle constructive feedback and criticism
  • Outstanding written and spoken English
  • Availability to work on site, in Milan

Desired Skills:

3D Technical Artist


Reply Game Studios is looking for a skilled 3D Technical Artist to be part of our team – a professional that will be working closely with Artists, Designers and Programmers in order to develop and improve tools and shaders for our new project.

As a member of the Art department, you will be responsible of creating shaders and tools; you will also support the Art team in their work with both Unreal Engine and other technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize materials and shaders, which will be used on different platforms across multiple assets, characters and environments
  • Develop and maintain art pipelines/tools, collaborating with the Art department to optimize workflow
  • Optimize assets for performance and memory usage
  • Use diagnostic tools to analyze performance and identify areas of improvement

Required Skills:

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to change, flexibility, open-mindedness
  • Solid scripting and programming skills including Python, Mel, and C++ and other shading languages
  • Aesthetic sense

3D Character TD


Reply Game Studios is looking for a skilled 3D Character TD to be part of our team – a professional that will be working closely with Artists, Designers and Programmers in order to setup complex rig structures for creatures, humanoids and props.

As a member of the Art department, you will be responsible of creating rig structures for the characters of our new game, from initial design through implementation, using both Unreal Engine and other technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with 3D Character Artists to create models that meet technical constraints
  • Collaborate with 3D Animators to design artist-friendly rig structures
  • Setup real time dynamic systems
  • R&D tools to improve the character rigging pipeline
  • Write utility scripts and programs to help the Art team
  • Use diagnostic tools to analyze performance and identify areas of improvement
