Digital Twin for MAnufacturing eXcellence

DTMAX develops advanced digital solutions to optimize production and industrial automation processes.

Objectives

DTMAX develops advanced digital solutions to optimize production and industrial automation processes. The project focuses on distributed machinery sensorization, automated logistics, and interoperable information systems, supported by ICT technologies that virtualize and enhance factory processes.

By combining IoT, Augmented Reality, Cloud and Edge Computing, DTMAX creates a flexible and interoperable digital platform that bridges the physical, digital, and virtual worlds. This enables predictive and “what-if” simulations, improves data use for strategic decisions, and addresses challenges such as fragmented standards, data privacy, and security.

Impact

DTMAX aims to: Increase efficiency and quality of production while reducing costs, supporting competitiveness in sensitive sectors.
Optimize processes through detailed monitoring and analysis of each production phase to detect flaws and inefficiencies.

Minimize risks and downtime via predictive and timely fault detection.

Enable flexibility and reconfigurability of production systems to adapt to demand, technological cycles, and market dynamics.

Enhance manual operations with sensors, system interfaces, and AR tools that support workers.

Improve product lifecycle management through digital performance evaluation and predictive services.

By integrating real, digital, and virtual models, DTMAX advances Industry 4.0 practices, generating enriched production models that inform every stage of the cycle and create feedback loops for design, production, and post-production improvement.

General Info

DTMAX develops a flexible digital platform that integrates IoT, AR, Cloud and Edge Computing to connect the physical, digital, and virtual worlds of manufacturing. By virtualizing production processes and enabling predictive simulations, the project improves efficiency, quality, and flexibility, reduces costs and downtime through advanced monitoring and predictive maintenance, and enhances both automated and manual operations. This Industry 4.0 approach creates enriched production models that support real-time  optimization and informed decision-making across the entire product lifecycle.
