Circular Tracing for
Industry 5.0
The project develops an innovative tracking system that improves the monitoring of production processes for Industry 5.0 and the control of product authenticity, origin and quality.
Objectives
“Circular Tracing for Industry 5.0" project concerns the development and application of life cycle assessment approaches for optimising the environmental impact of production systems through the application of advanced sensors and algorithms.
The project aims to create a mixed hardware and software system for the advanced traceability of components, semi-finished products and raw materials for the manufacturing industry.
Traceability throughout the entire life cycle of industrial products, based on multiple advances sensing technology including nano/bio tagging, allows real-time analysis and monitoring of sustainability in the use of resources in the production process, the identification at the end of life of product parts suitable for reuse/recycling and the safety of the new post-pandemic workplace with regard to the human factor.
Circular Tracing
“The innovation agreement entitled "Circular tracing per l'Industria 5.0" is coordinated by Concept Reply and was signed on 9 March 2023 by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy and Santer Reply (Concept Reply and Healthy Reply), Politecnico di Torino, Cefriel S.c.a.r.l. and Meridionale Impianti S.p.A.
Concept Reply is in charge of the development and integration of the Sustainable Manufacturing Operations Platform (SMOPlat) including the Circular Inflater monitoring application and the human-in-the-loop module.
"Circular tracing per l'Industria 5.0" project (Innovation Agreement – Project No. F/310164/01/X56) is funded by Fondo per la Crescita Sostenibile, an instrument of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (Mimit) that finances strategic research, development and innovation projects to increase the competitiveness of the Italian production system.
