25 November 2019
Frankfurt
The symposium "We, the City" of the Fraunhofer IAO on 25 November 2019 is titled "Digital Participation Formats for Smart Cities or: How we no longer talk past each other". The event aims to provide answers to questions such as how all social groups with their different accesses to digital communication can be taken along in the context of the changes that a Smart City brings with it? Or: how do we change democratic processes if we enable participation via social media?
The aim of the symposium is to create an exchange platform for topics, people and generations that inspires, shows solutions and can open up new perspectives on one's own attitude. In a workshop, the Fraunhofer IAO offers a design thinking process in which participants can try out how they can solve complex problems in a creative and structured way. Various application examples illustrate how cities have already successfully mastered challenges by involving citizens.
PANEL | 11:45 HAt 11:45 am there will be an Interactive Panel on the possibilities and experiences of digital citizen participation. Among the panel participants will be Kai Uwe Ernst, Partner at Cluster Reply. The Reply Group company has developed an instrument that derives the pulse of the city from moods in social networks. This can indicate time, place and feeling, which spreads in a city.
