Cluster Reply was involved in the migration of 12 Sitecore 8.2 premise websites to Sitecore 9 on the Cloud. The project was required to handle the client EU division fusion with another company and the constitution of a completely new company with dedicated IT infrastructure and applications ecosystem. The whole operation had to be completed in very small-time frame (less than 2 months).
Migration of 12 websites based on Sitecore 8.2 premise to Sitecore 9.0.1 on MA Azure (Sitecore Managed Cloud). The original website was developed by a third-party system integrator along the years, but was not supported anymore.There was nearly no documentation regarding the website. The customer also needed to bring knowledge to the Italian ICT, which was not used to Sitecore. Website migration took into account the domain name change and redirection management, to prevent any ranking penalties on search engines.
The solution is based on MS Azure and Sitecore 9.0.1. It makes use of the Sitecore multisite features and the web forms for marketers, with several customizations. The old Sitecore 8.2 solution was re-engineered to run on the cloud with different search engine, database and logging system. Site structure and contents were migrated AS IS from the old websites.
