Spike Reply is organising, in collaboration with IBM and with the participation of Alfredo Gatti (Managing Partner at NextValue), a workshop aimed at discussing the impacts on Security generated by the introduction of new technologies and consumer models in business IT. In particular, the workshop examined the Consumerisation phenomenon, brought by the so-called "Nexus of Forces" between Mobile, Social, Cloud and Information. Gartner predicts that the Nexus of Forces will increase public exposure of corporate data, bringing it to a higher level that was never reached before, thus pushing Big Data technologies and the demand for information governance and data management solutions capable of ensuring data protection. In addition to this, threats arising from channels, APP and non-traditional models as Cloud and SaaS will have to be managed, as well as policies and countermeasures defined, taking into consideration the related legal aspects (eg. BYOD, BYOC). The major Security needs arising from this scenario that will be addressed at the meeting are all related to Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC), Data Protection, Big Data Security, Security Analytics and Security Intelligence themes.
