The GDPR and Retailing: Consent, profiling and disruptive technologies

FOCUS ON: Events, Retail & Consumer Products,
GDPR and Retailing event

4th May 2017

DWF LLP, 20 Fenchurch Street London EC3M 3AG

Data Reply, the Reply Group company specialising in meaningful outcomes through data, and Twice Reply who specialise in digital transformation consultancy, take part in The GDPR and Retailing: Consent, profiling and disruptive technologies event in London (DWF LLP, 20 Fenchurch Street London EC3M 3AG) on 4th May 2017.

Twice UK and Data Reply will be talking to retail legal counsels and marketers about technologies that are changing the in-store experience.

They will explore how technology is creating a new kind of retail experience that promises to eliminate queues, integrate with our online preferences, and create individually personalised offers and promotions. They will highlight the opportunities that arise when the customer experience focus shifts from ‘transaction’ to ‘theatre’ – and the risks of not getting this right. They will examine the cultural impact of recognition in-store, in order to identify where the boundary lies that ring-fences a helpful experience, vs a frankly ‘creepy’ one, and debate different social attitudes towards this. They will offer up ideas on how judicious use of the Brand Idea and creative use of data analytics will ensure the experience is positive and sustainable.
