The Hospital IT Systems have often been developed starting from individual stand alone applications. This feature now causes the increasing need to ensure broad accessibility of health information for all operators, inside and outside the company. To solve this gap, it becomes crucial for institutions to adopt health solutions that facilitate the exchange of data and interoperability of application services, in the context of regional or national health systems, or into the interconnected networks of diseases.
During the workshop, the issue mentioned above has been analysed and the main trends emerged during the activity of the observatory “ICT & CIO in health”, held in partnership with Santer Reply, highlighted.
Santer Reply presented its experience of integration in the field of healthcare, developed in the Lombardia Region in the project SISS (Health Information System). Massimo Caprino, Santer Reply Manager, took part to the track together with some regional referents involved in the project.
