HI SHOP is based on the technologies and components made available by HI REPLY, Reply’s platform for the Internet of Things. It delivers new multichannel shopping solutions via smartphones.

Reply [MTA, STAR: REY], a leader in the design and implementation of solutions based on new communication channels and digital media, is launching HI SHOP, a contextual marketing application that allows users to enjoy an innovative buying experience via smartphones and companies to open up a new, direct, personalised communication channel with their customers.

HI SHOP is a mobile application that allows consumers to receive information relevant to their location at a point in time: when entering a supermarket or going into the underground, for example - or just sitting watching TV in the comfort of their own home. It allows them to embark on their buying experience there and then; and make payments quite safely, without having to physically hand over cash or payment cards to the merchant.

HI SHOP communicates only with people in specific, pre-defined areas of varying sizes: sales points, museums, airports or the underground, for example. In this way it acts as a proximity marketing and sales instrument, delivering highly-personalised messages specific to the individual buyer or to a particular product or service on offer.

HI SHOP, infact, allows to send and receive messages via smartphone or tablet, simultaneously and in different languages; loyalty cards can be virtualized; and bar codes and QR Codes sent and managed, by digitalizing couponing activities. As for payment, HI SHOP is integrated with HI CREDITS, Reply’s solution for remote mobile payments, which is also available for Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.

"Thanks to its flexibility and ease of implementation, HI SHOP opens up many different application scenarios" explains Reply’s Executive Partner, Marco Cusinato "These include sales point, large-scale retailers, tourist and cultural heritage info-marketing, plus a wealth of Business-to-Consumer (B2C) communication applications". "The key thing is that HI SHOP directs communication only to those in a specific area, sending personalised messages in different languages, discount coupons and loyalty points" continues Marco Cusinato.

Reply will present HI SHOP in a Proximity Commerce setting in London on 5th July and in Milan on 10th July, at the UK and Italian legs of XCHANGE 2012, Reply’s annual event dedicated to new technologies.

HI REPLY
HI REPLY is the platform for the Internet of Things developed by Concept Reply, Reply’s research and development centre. HI Reply delivers the online capability for simple, standard communication between connected objects. It brings together hardware, firmware and software components on the ‘things’ themselves; these vary from simple sensors and actuators to more sophisticated systems such as smartphones and minicomputers.

HI SHOP is Reply’s solution for proximity marketing. HI SHOP allows for sending and receiving personalised messages via smartphone or tablet, simultaneously and in different languages, virtualising loyalty cards, and sending and managing bar codes and QR Codes by digitalizing couponing activities. HI SHOP offers a communication instrument with highly-personalised messages intended for the individual buyer or the individual product and service offered. HI SHOP makes use of the technologies and components made available by HI REPLY – Reply’s platform for the Internet of Things – and is integrated with HI CREDITS, Reply’s remote mobile payment solution.

HI CREDITS
HI CREDITS: Reply’s remote mobile payment solution.. With HI CREDITS users can pay for goods and services safely via their mobile phones, thanks to integration with their bank’s payment gateway. The purchase is made via the mobile phone’s camera, by reading the QR Codes (two-dimensional codes) which are found, for example, on flyers, promotional web pages, television broadcasts, advertising posters and in many popular magazines. HI CREDITS allows payments to be made using mobile point-of-sale (POS). This is a great benefit for small businesses (such as news-stands and taxis) as to all intents and purposes it replaces the physical POS. With HI CREDITS, consumers can buy ‘geolocalized’ products and services, such as tickets for local public transport, museums, events, fairs, theme parks and car parking facilities. It’s also available for NFC-enabled payments.
