(Walnut Creek, CA) September 20, 2002 –
Tom Stone has joined the Next Phase Media team as the company’s chief financial
officer. Stone joins the Walnut Creek-based company from MoltenLab Software, a
provider of Internet-based enterprise content management software, where he was
president.
Prior to joining MoltenLab Software, Stone was part of the senior management
team at Autoweb.com, including serving as its CFO. Stone was instrumental in the
preparation and completion of its IPO. Subsequently, during the period Stone
served as CFO, Autoweb realized compound annual revenue growth of greater than
35% and an annualized revenue run rate of greater than $60 million. He also
served as vice president of corporate strategy and was responsible for building
Autoweb’s equity-related strategic alliances.
Stone played a key role laying the early groundwork for Autoweb’s acquisition by
Autobytel. During his tenure at Autoweb, Stone also negotiated or was pivotal in
most alliances including AOL, Yahoo!, CarsDirect and AIC, and was central to
strategic negotiations with OEMs and others.
“Next Phase Media is profitable and growing exponentially. It’s definitely time
to expand our senior management team, and Tom has tremendous credentials to
support this type of growth. He is a terrific addition to our team and will be a

Payam Zamani. “Along with his strengths in developing long-term financial
strategy, he brings a strong, rounded background in Internet media. In addition,
he has proven experience in preparing a company for an IPO and completing the
process.”
Stone holds a degree in Computer Science from Harvard University. He is also a
